| Rovings is a breed specific
mill. We have been in business since 1997. Polwarth is our premium
fibre. We import Polwarth from Australia. These sheep are bred specifically
for handspinning. The sheep are coated for 12 months, resulting in extremely clean
greasy fleeces. The micron diameter of Polwarth is 22 - 26. Polwarth is
similar to Merino, almost as fine but the fleece is more open due to a longer staple (4.5
to 6 inches long). The staple is stylish, silky and the crimp is very even throughout the
fleece. Polwarth is great for blending with other fibres. The equipment that we use
has all been made by Mini Mills. |

The main
colour of Polwarth is white. The natural colours range from white to natural black,
champagne to dark brown. We also carry dyed solid colours and rainbow dyed colours.
Polwarth is an excellent fleece for felting. The fibre felts in 5
to 10 minutes.
Our Polwarth comes in a variety of different forms, i.e. batts,
rovings, blends, yarns, and dyed fleeces as well as washed or in the grease.
Shipping and Handling: We ship, in Canada, by Canada Post or Greyhound.
For orders from the United States we use Expediated Parcel Post. If you need your
order by a specific date, please let us know when placing the order.
Payment: Payment can be made by cheque, money order, Visa or MasterCard
prior to shipping. Quantity discounts apply on 10 kg or more. Prices are subject to change
without notice. All prices are in Canadian Funds.
